3D Printed Headphone Stand

3D Printed Headphone Stand

A minimalist headphone stand that looks great on any desk setup. Designed to be sturdy with a low center of gravity.

Design Goals

  • Clean, modern aesthetic
  • Sturdy enough for heavy headphones
  • Print-in-place (no assembly required)
  • Minimal supports needed

The Design Process

Designed in Fusion 360, starting with sketches of the basic silhouette. The base is wide and heavy to prevent tipping, and the hook has a gentle curve to protect the headband.

  • Material: Matte Black PLA
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 30% (base at 60% for weight)
  • Supports: Tree supports for the hook overhang
  • Print Time: ~8 hours

Tips for Printing

  1. Use variable infill - heavier at the base, lighter at the top
  2. Print the hook with tree supports for easy removal
  3. Sand lightly with 400-grit for a smooth finish
  4. Optional: spray with matte clear coat for protection
